About Us

 Hope Christian Church began out of a need to bring help and healing to thousands of adults and children left orphaned or compromised due to the devastating earthquake in 2010. Initially as a relief effort, the ministry has blossomed into a full-fledged church and school meeting the needs of more than 1,000 students and growing. The church currently sees up to 300 people weekly gathering for worship and biblical community. 

Led by Pastor Jean Telfort the church is reaching people across the region of Fond Parisien. Pastor Telfort is involved in the regular preaching and teaching. He is raising up local leaders and training other pastors from across the region in healthy church principles. Pastor Jean is originally from Haiti and was serving as a pastor for Steele Creek Church in Charlotte North Carolina before going back to Haiti to address the great needs there.

It is Pastor Jean’s dream to see a thriving community of believers who affect the world around them and live with integrity while they love one another breaking the system of corruption currently in Haiti. His passion is to see people leave the bonds of religion and find a relationship with God through Jesus Christ. He also dreams of seeing an economic development that lifts the poor with the dignity of work and earning a fair wage for a days work. His tireless efforts can be seen as the church leadership, buildings, and ministries expand constanty.
